Job Description We are seeking a Product Development Analyst to support our Product Development team in our Florham Park, NJ or New York, NY office. As a Product Development Analyst, you will promote Sompo’s compliance by handling tasks to assure the company’s policy rating and issuance system (here in after referred to as “System”) accurately reflects the approved rates, rules, and forms for admitted lines of business. You will work closely with IT, State Filings, Product Line Managers, and System users to apply knowledge of the industry’s regulatory landscape and underwriting to support efficient implementation of System updates. Responsibilities: Submit rate, rule and form changes for System programming for existing product updates Analyze new forms and policy output documents to achieve proper System functionality and compliance Develop and submit business rules for programming rate changes and enhancements Support IT Business System Analysts, Development, and Quality Assurance teams to implement submitted changes Conduct quality control reviews to ensure system implementation is in compliance with regulatory requirements Research and provide resolutions for system issues raised by users and auditors Maintain departmental documentation of System requests Participate in the development of IT requirements for implementations of new products Develop and maintain tools to support manual policy issuance as needed Participate during meetings for line of business regulatory monitoring and proprietary enhancement implementations Qualifications: 3 - 5 years of experience in the insurance industry in policy, regulatory or insurance analytics Experience in commercial Property and Casualty lines insurance products and policy construction Knowledgeable in commercial rating worksheets and policy output Understanding of state filing and regulatory maintenance processes Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas with strong organizational skillsets Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint); knowledge with SERFF a plus Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred Salary Range: $75,000 - $125,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
