About the Role

We’re in search of a maintenance technician to oversee and maintain beverage manufacturing equipment. You will work with various internal teams and external service providers to maintain plant assets in safe, clean, and operational condition - through routine maintenance, planned and emergency repairs, and project planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of all plant assets, including production equipment (fillers, conveyors, labelers, tanks), facilities equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks), and utility equipment (boiler, HVAC).
• Implement preventative maintenance programs to improve equipment uptime.
• Identify and maintain relationships with repair specialists/service providers
• Look after the tools, parts, and supplies required for maintenance and repair.
• Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences.
• Perform other duties as required by your Manager/Supervisor.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing plant.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.
• Proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, close attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working conditions and Physical Requirements

This can be a physically demanding position at times. You must be able to be on your feet for eight hours or more per day performing what sometimes can be repetitive and strenuous tasks.

• Must be able to kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
• Although work is performed indoors, conditions frequently become damp/wet due to the nature of production.
• Work can become loud during bottling. Proper protective equipment is required such as ear protection and safety glasses.
