Endless Horizons is seeking to hire a Director of Finance who will be responsible for successfully managing the finances of Endless Horizons and its subsidiaries and affiliates including Horizons Youth Services, Camp Horizons, Horizons Edge Sports Campus, Horizons Consulting, Horizons Learning Foundation, Horizons Hospitality, Fun and Dreams, Fun and Dreams West, The Ridge at Horizons, Nelson Rocks Outdoor Center, and Shenandoah Valley Builders

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Develop and implement financial and administrative procedures to facilitate timely and accurate reporting of financial information and efficient administrative operations.
  • Provide training and professional development to corporate and field staff related to financial and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Recommend and implement systems necessary to ensure effective and efficient operations. Make recommendations for modifications to systems, as necessary.
  • Monitor cash for all Endless Horizons entities to ensure necessary cash flow to meet current liabilities, debt services, capital projects, and other monetary needs.
  • Monitor debt for all entities and plan for debt consolidations, debt renewals, and demand notes coming due.
  • Monitor intercompany items monthly to ensure proper reporting of revenue and expenses in each of Endless Horizon’s entities, along with Cash management, work to reduce increasing intercompany balances and keep them as low as possible to minimize tax issues.
  • Monitor payables weekly with aid of Corporate Accountant. Review and decide which payables are paid weekly. Monthly, look at accounts payable to verify accuracy of A/P listing. Record any material Accrued Expenses.
  • Monthly, monitor prepaid insurances for all companies, also, for Workers Compensation, track insurance expense by month based upon spreadsheet that allocates cost to each company.
  • Monitor profitability and make sure estimated tax payments are made. Plan for additional taxes that may be owed at year-end.
  • Monitor Payroll and related processes for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Provide monthly financial reports to Vice Presidents and CEO to monitor fiscal performance, quarterly financial reports to advisory board, and accurate financial data to tax accountants to properly plan for taxes because of profitability.
  • Provide banks with necessary yearly reports. (Tax returns, financial reports, and personal financial reports.)
  • Supervise Corporate Accounting staff. Help with any general accounting questions or concerns.
  • Provide support to other Vice Presidents in order to develop accurate and timely budget submissions.
  • Provide quarterly review of shareholder loans and advances to make sure items are minimized and paid off on a timely basis.
  • Plan for Endless Horizons needs as a parent company and develop and adhere to a written process for calculating management fee charged to each of its companies.
  • Strictly maintain the integrity of the procurement process and rigorously guard the security of the procurement data and company private information.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance. CPA preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience providing accounting support to a small to medium sized business listing sales in the multi millions.
  • Experience providing tax advice or completing taxes for former employers or clients.

SHIFT:

Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
