Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for our Assisted Living Department. In collaboration with Director of Nursing responsible for supervising nursing staff and clinical resident services accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations of care. (PHI) The ADON will also be responsible for oversight of facility in absence of DON and will have 24/7 reporting responsibility for clinical care coordination for residents. In addition to overseeing hands-on resident care, proper and timely administration of medication and treatments, accurate verbal and written reports and rapid response to any/all emergency situations. The ADON is a mentor and role model responsible for demonstrating understanding, patience, tact, and courtesy in dealing with employees, residents, families, and other visitors. Additionally, the ADON will support the DON in managing and supervising clinical operations and have a good working relationship with nursing leadership team. 

Responsibilities: 

• Conducts regular rounds to monitor resident acuity, assess residents' physical and psychosocial status, monitor care activites and documentation and discharge planning activities.
• Performs audits of resident medical records to ensure compliance with facility policy, standards of care and regulation.
• Acts as a resource for problem solving and crisis intervention involving residents, staff and equipment.
• Implements and strategies to improve service quality and resident satisfaction level for Nursing Service. 
• Participates in ongoing programs to monitor, evaluate and improve the quality and appropriateness of care delivered and resident outcomes. 
• Supports and implements clinical quality improvement initiatives in designated shifts.
• Ensures equipment and work areas are clean, safe and orderly and free from any hazardous conditions 
• Ensures standard precautions and infection control, isolation, fire, safety and sanitation practices and procedures are followed.

Qualifications/Requirements/Education:

• Current RN Licensure State of Illinois
• Graduated from accredited registered nurse program
• Current CPR Card
• BSN Preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience working with geriatrics
• Clinical experience in the care of residents with Alzheimers/Memory Impaired
• Strong clinical skills that possesses knowledge of nursing theory, practice and administration
