ENCORE FIRE PROTECTION is Hiring an Inventory Specialist Near Palmer, MA

Are you interested in joining a company that is striving to become the biggest and undeniably best fire protection company in the Northeast? Encore is an industry leading, full service fire protection company serving all of New England from offices in Maine to New Jersey. Our continued growth and success has created the need for an Inventory Specialist on our team in the Palmer, MA office. In this role, you will have primary responsibility of managing the parts inventory and supplies for our fire protection technicians while also working directly with different vendors for procuring parts and materials.

Here's some of what you can expect:

  • Manage and maintain inventory supplies in the warehouse and take action on orders when needed
  • Prepare purchase orders as needed
  • Review back orders and follow up with vendors and project managers with status of order
  • Continually look for ways to improve processes, and be able to articulate those proposed improvements
  • Resolve delivery, goods receipt, and invoicing issues and discrepancies
  • Work internally with our operations team to ensure all necessary parts and materials are available on time
  • Receive, stock, select and dispense a variety of supplies

You must be detail oriented and possess strong oral and written communication skills. Must have strong problem solving skills and possess interest and ability to work with vendors on the phone to place orders, negotiate pricing and follow up on documentation.

There are a few non-negotiable requirements that will help someone to excel in this position:

  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs
  • General working knowledge and comfort using the computer; specifically email and Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to learn new technology as required
  • Knowledge and experience using hand tools
