Encanto Palms Assisted Living is Hiring an Unit Manager (Caregiver) Near Phoenix, AZ
At Encanto Palms we maintain two distinct and separate comprehensive/holistic programs for individuals exhibiting behavioral problems: one program for residents with dementia behaviors and the second program for residents with non-dementia behaviors. Our purpose is to provide the highest quality of life in the least restrictive living environment for residents with behavioral issues not appropriate for placement in a traditional assisted living facility.

We are responsive to the needs of our residents and families, alone with their medical providers, referral sources, and payors
Responsibilities
- You will ensure that care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values and policies of Genesis HealthCare and in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage to provide safe nursing care
- Provide professional guidance and supervision to non-professional unit staff
- Identify educational needs of the staff and plans, along with the Nurse Educator, a program to meet needs
- Oversee medication management to ensure adequate supplies and that all medications are handled in accordance Genesis policy
- Provide direct patient care along with the other unit nurses to maintain skills
Qualifications
- Must currently possess an Arizona Caregiver Certification
- At least one year of nurse management experience preferred
- Must have an active Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification
