Encantado Technical Solutions (ETS) is an unpopulated joint venture between Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. and ECS Federal, LLC. ETS is bolstered by second-tier subcontractors KeyLogic and Amentum. As ETS is unpopulated, employees will work for one of the four companies listed above.
Encantado is seeking a Windows System Administrator to support the IT program at a major national laboratory.
Responsibilities:- Provision, configure, and manage physical and virtual servers, as well as the software that runs on the servers and the hardware that supports them.
- Install and troubleshoot IT resources, establish and manage user accounts, upgrade and patch software, and perform backup and recovery tasks.
- Assist with the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
- Assist with the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
- Familiar with network automation, monitoring, orchestration, troubleshooting, and provisioning tools such as Solarwinds, InMon products, Statseeker, AKIPS, Gigamon products, application performance management products, and network performance management products.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Active DOE Q clearance desired, but in all events must have ability to be cleared at the Top Secret (TS) or DOE Q level and the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.
- Associate's degree plus 4 years relevant experience, or seven (7) years' relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years Windows server experience in current and new versions of the Windows Server Operating system.
- Experience with installation, configuration and maintaining Windows Server Operating Systems on physical and virtual hardware
- Experience above will include the following tasks and abilities:
- Maintaining Active Directory topology and configuring Group Policy Object management
- Managing virtual environments
- Installing and integrating applications and software
- Restoring data and re-configure systems
- Detect, identify and troubleshoot system software and hardware problems
- Analyze system faults, troubleshoot, and run diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems
- Implementing cyber policies
- Proven customer service skills and focus on customer success
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Desired Experience:
- Experience with MS SQL Server, MS Hyper-V, VMware vShpere, Nessus, and/or Splunk.
- Experience addressing network, storage, or system performance issues.
- Familiarization with databases and database services.
- Familiarization with networking principles.
