Enavate is Hiring a Database Engineer Near Fargo, ND

As a Database Engineer at Enavate, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, develop efficient data models, and implement data strategies that align with business objectives.

Your day will consist of:

  • Design and develop database solutions that meet business requirements and performance goals.
  • Create and optimize database schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize database configurations for maximum efficiency.
  • Collaborate with software developers and data analysts to integrate database functionality into applications and analytics platforms.
  • Perform data migrations, backups, and recovery procedures to maintain data integrity and availability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for database systems, including data dictionaries, schemas, and technical specifications.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in database management and administration.

Here is what it takes to be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Database Engineer, Database Administrator, or a similar role in database design and management.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and database query optimization techniques.
  • Experience with relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Strong understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and normalization techniques.
  • Familiarity with database performance tuning, indexing strategies, and capacity planning.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
