Hello Job Hunters! We are looking for three Data Center Technicians to join our team in South San Jose. The Engineering Lab Services Team are the "hands and feet" of numerous remote users who utilize the equipment in the labs that cannot physically access the equipment for technical issues. The team ensures remote users can perform their job functions by accurately and safely installing, removing, and relocating various enterprise-level computing/network devices as requested; providing power and connectivity to devices to enable remote access and operation; troubleshooting and resolving remote connectivity and/or device functionality issues.

The ideal candidate has experience in a Lab environment supporting Physical Layer ticket resolutions.

This is month long engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Manage workflow of remote users' requests via ServiceNow to ensure timely completion/issue resolution.
• Direct team members toward completion of high-priority requests and tasks.
• Communicate tactfully with stakeholders via email, Microsoft Teams IM, video conferencing, and phone.
• Utilize company inventory systems to ensure accurate additions and tracking of networking devices and other lab equipment.
• Provide technical and other guidance to ELS team members as needed.
• Work on user requests while overseeing activities of team members.

Skills/Experience:

• 3 years experience in a lab or data center
• Advanced knowledge of rack & stack and cabling
• Understanding of basic concepts of computer operation and networking.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Productivity applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc).
• Prior experience with Windows OS and/or Linux is preferred but not required.

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE SERVER EXPERIENCE

• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management.
• Able to lift 40 lbs.
• High level of oral/written communication skills
• Committed to learning new skills and information. Able to read and interpret technical documentation.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• US Citizen or Perm Resident.
• A and Network preferred.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
