Empower Mental Health is seeking an in-office Director of Federal Contracts and Operations to join our fast-growing mental health company. The Director of Federal Contracts and Operations will play a critical role in identifying, successfully applying for, and procuring federal government contracts within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement the company's strategic plans, focusing on expanding government contract opportunities
• Navigate the complex landscape of federal agencies, understand their healthcare-related needs, and strategically position the organization to secure contracts
• Identify federal government opportunities in the healthcare sector
• Understand government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance standards
• Lead the negotiations, management, and compliance of government contracts
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key personnel within federal agencies, prime contractors, and other stakeholders in the federal healthcare procurement ecosystem
• Create and oversee operations and manage a high-performing team, including clinical and administrative staff
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices
• Implement quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery
• Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts, as needed 

Requirements:

• Extensive experience overseeing government contracting processes, compliance requirements and regulations
• Experience in management or leadership role within a mental health or healthcare organization
• Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Excellent financial acumen, budgeting and cost control implementation
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a culture of excellence
• Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems and make informed decisions
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision making skills
