Service Writer

Empire Motorsports the Action and Adventure Destination in Sioux Falls, SD is looking to partner with an energetic and organized service writer. The service writer serves as the point of contact between customers who bring their vehicles to Empire for repair and technicians who provide service on the vehicle. We offer a fun casual work environment. We offer 401k, health insurance, paid time off. Day time schedules with every Sunday off. Pay structure includes a base pay plus commission on parts and l labor.

• The Responsibilities of the service writer

*Greeting customers actively listening to customers requests and offering excellent customer service throughout the service cycle.

*Communicate to customers that we want to get them back on the road as soon as possible.

*Translating customer-reported problems to work orders for technicians to complete.

*Determining, diagnosing, and estimating needed service or repairs based on customer description and machine condition.

*Scheduling technician workflow and coordinating resources to fulfill multiple requests

*Liaison with the parts department to get the right parts delivered on time to technicians

*Scheduling appointments, vehicle drop-offs and pickups

*Invoicing and collecting payment from customers for services completed

*Maintaining customer records and entering data into our dealer management software

*Preparing reports, maintaining a schedule and calendar, processing warranty claims.

• Ideal Qualifications for Service Writer No Experience needed will train candidate with the right attitude and abilities

*Excellent Customer service and interpersonal communication skills

*Highly organized and can coordinate multiple Repair Orders at one time.

*Ability to identify additional services that can benefit the customer, throughout the service cycle

*Familiarity with powersports or general mechanics

*Attention to detail, able to gather necessary information and ask follow up questions

*Flexible can change gears without losing information of dropping tasks

*Navigation of computers and ability to learn Lightspeed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
