Duties,tasksand responsibilities:

• Perform all shipping tasks required to create satisfied customers, internal and external.

• Perform all tasks ina timelyand economical manner.
• Communicate with and support theWarehouse/Shippingand Customer ServiceTeams
• Follow policies and procedures in the Employee Manual, Quality Assurance Manual, Safety Manual, and shipping procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to communicateeffectively
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and meetdeadlines

• Ability to work well with others and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
• Leads and motivates the Outbound team in order preparation, picking and packing, and ensuring cut-off is achieved to meet customer and company requirements.
• Ensures the team abides by DOT regulations in the processing of hazardous materials, including ORM-D, per carrier requirements.
• Ensures team uses proper packing procedures and that adequate packing supplies and equipment are available.
• Ensures end-of-day system verification tasks are completed and open orders have been invoiced.

• Ensures the maintenance of a safe working environment, according to established safety procedures. Advises management of issues that affect the efficiency of the operation.
• Monitorsperformance of team members and provides feedback to management.
• Recognizes training needs and implements training to ensure team is prepared.
• Ensures management is aware, on a regular basis, of all aspects of employee performance.
• Performs security checks of the building and locks and secures the building for theevening, oropens

• Ensures the completion of all general housekeeping duties, asrequired, and that supplies are available for such duties.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Hours and Reporting:

• Reports directlytoShippingSupervisor.
• Hours will vary and rotate from a range of 9am to 9pm Monday thruFriday, with occasionalSaturdays
• Ability to respond to after-hoursemergencies
• Must be flexible to work overtime hours as needed.

Requirements and skills needed for the job:

• Minimum of one year of experience in warehouse or production environment; prior experience directingwork flowpreferred
• Shipping experience
• Experience in leading and coaching small teams

• Negotiating experience and skills
• Desire for continuous improvement and growth
• Experience with data entry on a PC
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word preferred
• Proficiencyin operation of computerized manifesting systemspreferred

• Experience and knowledge in distribution processes (receiving, shipping, and inventory)
• Writing,mathand communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with otherteams
• Ability to manage small projects personally and workindependently
• Ability to make decisions on box size and packaging with least cost to customer yet protects quality ofparts

• Organizational skills and detailed oriented with a quality mindset
• Ability to work within a deadline under pressure and handleinterruptions
• Ability to stand and walk forextended periods, climb ladders, reachoverhead,andlift upto 30 to 50lbsoccasionally.
• High school diploma or equivalent

Additionalskills that are helpful but notrequired:

• Hazmat experience
• Experience in customer service and telephone or equivalent training
• Warehousing/parts storage or fulfillment experience
• Shipping experience withUPS, USPS,Fedex, DHL, LTL
