Title of position: Warehouse Manager - Night Shift

Reporting to: Jason Williams – Operations Manager of EMS-TX

The role of the Warehouse Manager is to monitor warehouse inventory, equipment, facilities, and fleet as well as manage all warehouse, driver and support staff to ensure that products are received, stored, shipped out, and delivered in an accurate and efficient manner. Daily duties include but may not be limited to:

• Direct and coordinate the activities and assignments of the team associates as needed to pull orders and load outbound trucks as needed.
• Coordinate with receiving staff and manage the check-in and safe unloading of inbound products. Care must be taken to honor the appointments made for inbound trucks. Inbound products must be carefully unloaded and staged in the proper areas for receiving.
• Coordinate the proper process for unloading inbound stock, receive the stock, and properly direct other employees in relocating stock to the proper primary bin and/or overstock bin.
• Assign and coordinate the team associates in the pulling and loading of will call and freight orders as needed to provide safe, quick service to our customers.
• Assist in the nightly scheduling and routing of all outbound deliveries.
• Verify all orders for accuracy, quality and load placement on trucks and trailers.
• Process and close out RMA’s in a timely manner. Transfer material between warehouse and scrap warehouse as needed.
• Oversee and assist in assigning cycle counts and bin verifications to both shifts to verify inventory levels and ensure materials are properly identified and in their correct locations as directed by Operations and Inventory Control Manager.
• Research any material discrepancies and lost products to assist in the filling of orders to provide proper service to our customers.
• Monitor, report and record the movement of all scrap, returned and damaged materials and movement to scrap warehouse.
• Communicate with other departments of the company; namely Operations, Purchasing, Sales, Accounting, and Human Resources, so to keep the lift operators and all other warehouse employees focused on the material handling tasks.
• Oversee all housekeeping and safety tasks for the warehouse structure. Report any safety issues discovered and move rapidly to get them resolved. Continually observe the warehouse situation for housekeeping and safety needs.
• Oversee the hiring, development, training and retention of all warehouse, driver and support staff employees. Perform the evaluations, tests and advancement of all employees.
• Oversee and assist the Operations Manager in maintaining an operating budget, approve expenditures and invoices, and assist in the yearly Capital Expenditures forecast and reporting.
• Any other and all tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager to help perform the mission of the warehouse.

Preferred Qualifications and Education: 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years’ experience, with supervisory experience, preferably in multi-shift
• Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
• Highly effective management skills and techniques
• Excellent analytical and observation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, planning, prioritizing, and time management skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Hands on commitment to the team’s success 
• Customer service focused

Pay: To Be Discussed

Pay Rate: Weekly 

Schedule:

• 10-hour shift
• Monday – Friday

Supplemental Pay:

• Bonus Pay

Work Location: One location
