The Office of Faculty Academic Affairs and Professional Development at the Emory School of Medicine is at the forefront of promoting the growth and success of our esteemed faculty members. We are looking for an Assistant Program Director to join our team to support the growing portfolio of programs.
Under the guidance of the Director, the Assistant Program Director will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning, development, and execution of workshops, events, and programs tailored to the needs of our faculty and departments. This role will involve managing various faculty affairs and faculty development initiatives including but not limited to:
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organized, dependable, detail-oriented and deadline-driven. They will work well independently and as part of a team. This position will interact with a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders, including the Dean, Associate Deans, Chairs, faculty and staff. The ideal candidate will be able to pivot their communication style to meet the needs of their customer. It is expected that the Assistant Program Director will demonstrate a genuine passion for and appreciation of our mission to support faculty careers and departmental initiatives.
Due to the nature of programs, occasional early mornings and late evenings will be required. At this time, this role will be granted the opportunity to work remotely regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.
