Overview

The Senior Software Engineer is a member of the Digital Innovations Enterprise Development team and is responsible for design, development, implementation, and maintenance of team solutions. Expectations include ownership of team applications focusing on security, stability, testability, scalability, simplicity and maintainability of developed solutions.

An ideal candidate has experience designing and building front end web applications, microservices, middleware integrations, and backend persistence layers based on Java EE / Jakarta EE APIs.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and build new enterprise applications and services that integrate with Epic and other systems using various technologies and APIs such as AI, FHIR, HL7 and WebServices. You will be involved in building innovative healthcare solutions that require outside the box thinking as well as contributing to the build out of our cloud-based delivery platform in Azure using Kubernetes.

Salary: $96,657.60/Yr. - $180,145.06/Yr.

The grade and salary of the position are based on specific criteria met within the qualifications of relevant experience, skills, performance and internal equity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field is required from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience.
• Master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Eight years related Information Technology experience preferably in a healthcare or academic setting.
• Experience with application design, development and optimization from business requirements through day-to-day management.
• Proven record of effectively communicating at all organizational levels, understanding the Institution's business, missions and goals, and translating those goals into information technology initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Must have a high level of judgment, decision-making, discretion and integrity.
• Experience managing and working knowledge of a variety of platforms and of system deployment in a heterogeneous environment with a clear vision of how to use information technology to improve productivity, performance and delivery of service.
