JOB DESCRIPTION: Plays a central EHC Finance role in streamlining strategic and operational initiatives, guiding project management, and advising on strategy, operations, process improvement, and financial matters, specifically in Revenue Cycle. Responsible for managing the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of specific projects for the organization. Ensuring their projects achieve time, scope, budget, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction requirements with the end goal of delivering a quality experience for the cross-functional participants. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES: The following list reflects essential duties and responsibilities. This list is meant to provide an overview and is non-exhaustive. Responsible for the day to day operations of the EHC Revenue Cycle Management office workstreams and redesign. Partners with executives and department leaders to drive strategic prioritization and manage cross-functional alignment on project, including but not limited to, Finance, Supply Chain, Care Coordination, IT, Physician Relations, and other functions as needed Lead or help develop program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g. program/project charter, Statement of Work, Business Vision Document) Work with appropriate stakeholders to drive the identification of the skills, duration and effort required for successful project execution Oversees the determination of key performance indicators and measurement of organizational and financial performance. Recommends changes in prioritization, direction, and focus where needed to maintain or exceed organizational performance Establish/apply quality objectives, criteria, standards and levels using appropriate quality management methods, with stakeholder input (e.g., key performance indicators, scope definition) Manage project performance by ensuring that all project deliverables follow all applicable standards and regulations Ability to conduct analysis on project outcomes and make appropriate recommendations to improve initiatives Develop, communicate and implement program/project risk/issue management plans and strategies (e.g., mitigation, avoidance, transfer, acceptance) Develop tools and reports necessary for trending measures needed during initiative life cycle Ability to ensure a seamless transition from project implementation to the appropriate business owners for ongoing management When requested, serves on internal committees to drive operational efficiencies, strategy, and, when needed, to challenge the status quo When requested, fosters engagement, accountability, and alignment across all teams, creating and reporting on critical measures and metrics as appropriate Acts as a communication driver and liaison by drafting key presentations (e.g., for board of directors, conferences, employee meetings), relaying key information among executive team members and relevant project teams, and creating appropriate communication channels to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information. Prepares and/or reviews talking points, scripts, and other communications on behalf of CFO Partners with the executive team and project teams to foster organizational visibility and cross-functional collaboration to reinforce the criticality of connecting needs, outputs, dependencies, and processes among Emory teams and functions COMPETENCIES Drives industry thought leadership and, when sought, provides candid, insightful feedback on critical, and/or confidential decisions Proven experience in a project management or program coordination role with a focus on strategic, business-driving projects, and interdepartmental communications Experience in assessing, planning, and leading cross-functional strategic initiatives with numerous stakeholders Ability to interact and communicate for impact with all levels of an organization both internally and externally, including business and technical Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to connect with and communicate to a variety of audiences Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to complete assignments with a strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize Confident ability to lead, collaborate, triage, and make decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment Ensure deadlines are met by moving projects along and holding key stakeholders accountable Shown strength in analytical and problem-solving skills Strong Experience in negotiation and conflict resolution Applies Lean Six Sigma methodologies to process improvement MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree or equivalent graduate work required. 7 years of experience in the hospital and healthcare industry, including but not limited to, administration, operations, legal, service line development, process improvement, and finance 3 years of experience in decision support, data analysis or managing projects at an enterprise level Strong database and consulting skills Healthcare operations experience preferred PMP certification is preferred Health care or revenue cycle experience is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook) project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, etc.).
