Emmerson Animal Hospital is Hiring a Certified Veterinary Technician / Assistant (FT) Near Dorchester, MA

Certified Veterinary technician and assistant positions (CVT or 3 years of experience- PT/FT) are available in a busy, family-owned three-doctor general medicine practice.

Looking for experienced, dedicated, and motivated individuals to work in a fast-paced and fun environment!
We offer a unique and close-knit environment that relies heavily on teamwork. Each role in our hospital is directly involved with the others and plays an important part in our day-to-day activities. We also form very close relationships with our many long-standing clients and their pets, which creates a very rewarding atmosphere.

Qualifications:

A great sense of humor.
The most qualified candidate(s) will have excellent communication skills, be energetic, possess the ability to work both independently and in a team setting, and be committed to the highest level of customer care.
Candidate must be self-motivated, competent at effectively and safely restraining dogs and cats, have strong multi-tasking skills, and must be able to communicate effectively both with clients and within the team.
The technician candidate should be competent with giving injections, drawing blood, placing catheters, anesthetic protocols, surgical monitoring skills, and taking radiographs.
The candidate should also be familiar with common vaccination protocols, in-house lab analyzers, and veterinary software.
The assistant technician candidate will assist the senior veterinary technicians.
