The Emerson Waldorf School is seeking a first-grade teacher to join our grade school faculty. We have an exceptional Early Childhood- 12th grade faculty and staff who are committed to collaboration, innovation, Waldorf education and anthroposophy. Faculty members joining our school are supported by a grade school pedagogical support teacher, professional development opportunities, a student support team, and an administrative team that includes a grade school coordinator.
We welcome all applications, but our ideal candidate is a Waldorf-trained class teacher with experience working in the classroom and a deep understanding of Waldorf pedagogy. The candidate must be able to work with diverse learning needs. A college degree is necessary, and post-graduate studies, including Waldorf teacher training, are preferred.
Salary and Benefits: This is a salaried, full-time, year-round position. The salary range is commensurate with experience. The benefits package includes medical insurance. Tuition remission is provided for full-time faculty/staff children.

We are located on a 54-acre wooded campus and farm set on the outskirts of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in the vibrant Research Triangle area. Within this diverse region, our campus is in a small rural and residential area adjacent to the 700-acre Duke Forest nature preserve. Our setting provides a rural atmosphere with the cultural advantages of a city.
