As a Gastroenterologist, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch care to our patients.Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive Gastroenterology care, including clinic and endoscopy services, consultations, and related procedures.
- Maintain quality standards in line with nationally recognized benchmarks for patient care.
- Foster an academic environment to support the professional development of residents in the Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology Service.
- Ensure compliance with residency review documentation and medical record standards.
- Fulfill administrative duties related to resident training documentation as per VA guidelines.
- Offer clinical direction and oversight to residents/fellows, adhering to accreditation guidelines and promoting clinical research.
- Perform a wide range of colonoscopy and esophagogastroduodenoscopy procedures.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
- Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent.
- Valid license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
