Est. 2003. The Sally Reahard Directorship of the IU School of Nursing Center for Enhancing Quality of Life in Chronic Illness (CEQL) was established by Sally Reahard and the Indiana University School of Nursing. Miss Reahard was a longtime philanthropist and through her estate made this endowment as well as scholarships for undergraduate nursing students. This directorship will serve as the Director of the Center for Enhancing Quality of Life in Chronic Illness (CEQL). CEQL provides funding for early career investigators with the mission of building the science of quality of life in chronic illness by developing and testing high impact intervention research.

Qualified applicants must hold a doctorate in nursing or a related field. The successful applicant will have a record of scholarly achievement, including a history of success in obtaining external grants suitable for a senior tenure-track position and appointment as a tenured full professor. Candidates should declare an area of excellence in research and must demonstrate a national/international reputation in a focused field of research and show a body of work that is well-established and cumulative.
The ability to work with interdisciplinary teams of interprofessional researchers across clinical and academic settings and possession of interpersonal skills necessary to serve as a mentor and a role model for students and faculty colleagues are essential. Licensed or eligible for Indiana RN licensure is also a requirement.
