Overview
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office and its team members. This position requires excellent administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our patients.
Responsibilities
Provides formal supervision to Front Desk Receptionists and others as assigned including training, coaching, and feedback to the Billing/Front Office Manager regarding performance evaluation.
Greets patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, answer or refers to questions to the appropriate recipient.
Schedules patient appointments and procedures according to established protocol
Registers all new patients into the system.
Obtains all appropriate forms as required, verifies and updates demographic and insurance information.
Scans and updates a copy of patient's insurance cards and current driver's license. A photo will need to be taken and attached if patient photo is missing.
Notifies clinical of patient arrival.
Prepares patient charts prior to appointment. Examines patient's electronic medical record and demographics for required information for the next day appointments. Collects the necessary information when patient arrives.
Collects co-pays, deductible and other out of pocket amounts at time of visit; issues receipts if necessary.
Other projects and responsibilities as designated.
Qualifications and Skills
5 years of recent medical front office experience
3 years of medical reception with supervisor training experience
Proficient with EMR software patient charts
HIPAA trained
Current BLS certification
Current on any required vaccines/immunizations
Ability to travel to other clinic sites (reliable vehicle insurable)
Ability to work longer or irregular hours when needed
Ability to lift 50lbs
Ability to sit, stand, walk 4-6 hours out of the day
High School Diploma or equivalent
Schedule: Monday - Friday (7/8:00AM - 5/6:00PM) per clinical needs meetings and training events
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 annually
