Emanuel Lutheran Church is Hiring an Office Administrator Near Brunswick, NJ

Mission

Ensure day-to-day operational effectiveness by managing the administrative tasks of the church and coordinating communications between the various entities of the congregation. The Office Manager responds empathetically to people under duress and maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

1. Answer phone, check voicemail, and disseminate messages to the appropriate people.

2. Retrieve and sort US Mail.

3. Respond to church emails or forward to the appropriate person for response.

4. Manage prayer list & worship volunteers.

5. Coordinate assembly of weekly order of worship slides.

6. Maintain church calendar.

7. Coordinate social media posts.

8. Publish monthly newsletter.

9. Maintain up-to-date church directory.

10. Maintain up-to-date contact list for outside groups using our buildings.

11. Purchase office supplies and sundry items as needed.

12. Coordinate assembly of Annual Report.

13. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Good written and verbal communication skills.

2. Ability to work both independently as well as with a diverse team.

3. Ability to prioritize duties and multitask.

4. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

5. Knowledge of social media is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
