The Residential Clinical Director will report directly to the Medical Director and carry the following responsibilities:
LBH Clinical Director :
Lotus Behavioral Health is searching for an eager, energetic, and knowledgeable Licensed: professional to fill the role of Clinical Operations Director in an Adolescent substance use disorder/addiction treatment facility in Winter Springs, Florida. The individual will guide the continued development of a quality, compliant, clinically sound, holistic residential substance use treatment environment. Priorities include provision of best practices, Evidenced-Based treatment modalities, metrics design, trauma sensitive approach, family involvement and successful transitions following recovery.
The Clinical Director will report directly to the Executive Director and carries the following responsibilities::
Clinical Service Leadership:
  • Coordinate the development of clinical philosophy and practice standards across essential disciplines within Lotus Behavioral Health Inc. consistent with our mission and communicate the philosophy and strategies to executive, management, clinical and direct support staff.
  • Provide clinical, operational, and strategic leadership necessary to deliver high-value care that is financially feasible and sustainable.
  • Direct the delivery of clinical and community-oriented services across a wide geographic area.
  • Lead clinical teams, as well as coordinate special projects and monitor outcomes and program integrity.
  • Develop an Annual Plan for Services and review program progress and activity reports of various clinical departments; review and respond to legal concerns or requests regarding clinical services.
  • Take part in evaluating agency systems and programs to ensure health and safety of consumers; identify opportunities for improving outcomes in clinical effectiveness, clinical practice, services operations, and standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor well integrated clinical programs.
  • Spearhead clinical initiatives aimed at maximizing the efficiency of clinical operations, improving patient service, and enhancing quality and safety outcomes.
  • Coordinate with Business Development and Leadership Team to identify community service gaps; implement a plan of action, including funding strategies; conduct presentations and community relations activities.
  • Development of a competency-based clinical training program for clinical staff
  • Work as a member of the leadership team in regards to disaster preparedness or community collaboration.
  • Provide backup services in absence of clinician as the department supervisor.
Management and Mentorship:
  • Create a work climate that emphasizes collective team performance and demonstrates Lotus Behavioral Health Inc. core competencies.
  • Establish staffing requirements for recruitment, selection, and placement of personnel for approval.
  • Evaluate performance and competency of assigned staff within required and assigned time frames and standards.
  • Coach employees on assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure staff compliance with all policies and procedures through utilization of training resources and disciplinary processes.
  • Monitor and positively affect employee morale.
  • Implement progressive discipline up to and including termination of assigned employees.
  • Coordinate and lead regular staff meetings.
  • Evaluate progress toward meeting team/program goals.
  • Provide oversight to internship opportunities.
Coordination and Communication:
  • Represent Lotus Behavioral Health Inc. at the community level by attending networking and educational opportunities and promoting the positive reputation of the program.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of external relationships with referral sources.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Lotus Behavioral Health Inc. staff and supervisors, as well as external contacts.
  • Serve on various staff workgroups committees, as assigned.
  • Maintain active community involvement; serve as Lotus Behavioral Health Inc’s representative to assigned community groups, as needed.
  • Interface with and support other Lotus Behavioral Health Inc. Services
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Address the requirements of insurance panels, utilization reviews, accrediting body, etc., as applicable to management position.
  • Timely completion and maintenance of case and agency paperwork according to Lotus Behavioral Health Inc. standards and as required by external agencies (DCF, TJC payee, etc), as well as internal unit and organizational reports and documentation
Professional Development:
  • Complete and maintain compliance with required trainings and education required for the position.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance professional and job-related skills.
  • Attend community education events/seminars to continue developing expertise in the field and improve important professional relationships, when applicable
  • Maintain all licensure and certifications, per position requirements.
  • Participate in appropriate team and/or administrative meetings, assigned committees, in services, and other continuing education/training.
Requirements, Skills and Qualifications::
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment when making decisions.
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with clinical staff and patients.
  • Problem solving skills when resolving administrative issues and conflicts.
  • Detailed knowledge of policies and regulations in the clinical field
  • Ability to delegate and supervise tasks as required.
  • Good understanding of budget and resources planning budgeting in addition to evaluation procedures and methods
  • Hands-on skills in dealing with EMR.
Education and Experience::
  • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or related field. Must be a fully licensed mental health professional in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a clinical administrative role with experience and expertise in a adolescent residential setting preferred.
  • Experience in Trauma Informed Care
  • Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills, including usage of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, web-based applications, and PDF.
  • LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Ph.D. with active license in the State of Florida required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to move throughout the building as well as sit or remain stationary for extended periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to talk or hear, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste, or smell.
  • Ability to move/lift 25 pounds.
