Commercial Tire Technician

Responsible for mounting, dismounting, and repairs. This position is responsible for the safe execution of OTR / Earthmover tires.

Commercial Tire Technician Details :

• Direct Hire position
• $ to $ / hour
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 05 : 30am to 05 : 30pm)
• Inspects and diagnose service and tire problems on customer vehicles.
• Communicate necessary repairs and / or replacement of parts, recommend additional preventative services and helps sell services to the customer, if warranted.
• Provides excellent customer service to existing accounts by staying in touch, immediate follow-up and resolving issues Completes service orders;

process tickets, invoices and bills out customers, verifies credit status of customer, makes billing adjustments, initiates purchase orders for parts, assist with updating information on the computer and maintains records / files for follow-up

• Operate air compressor, impact gun, hub-cab hammer and other various machines and tools
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and mechanical maintenance, and ensures vehicle registration, insurance, safety and OSHA materials and devices are up-to-date.
• Tire work (retail and / or commercial, on and off site) Mount and dismount, air pressure checks and repairs
• Active role in product and service sales Manage a group of customers by servicing and selling recommended products and services Performs fleet inspections and provides excellent customer service to existing accounts.
• Sales to existing customers to ensure needs are met. Able to use systems to properly document, examples : Basys and Fleet Inspection software.
• Supports company safety and operational standards and adheres to all audit requirements
• Completes all necessary training (TIA, MSHA) Maintains equipment to required standards.
• Demonstrates the ability to conform to DOT and Commercial Tire driving requirement.

Commercial Tire Technician Qualifications :

• Valid Driver’s License and Insurable Driving Record / CDL (Required) High school diploma or equivalent 3 year of tire industry related experience (Required).
• A valid CDL driver’s license (required) TIA Basic Auto 200, TIA CST level 300 (Required).
• TIA Certified Earthmover (Required). Must have operated a service truck with boom for at least 1 year (Required).
• Regular attendance and punctuality is required and is an essential job function.
