ELSSA is Hiring a Part Time Preschool Teacher Near Kissimmee, FL

This is a part-time position with a Monday – Friday schedule, 1pm – 6pm. The pay is $13-15 per hour depending upon experience and qualifications. This position is onsite at our center located: 2500 N Beaumont Ave, Kissimmee FL, 34741.

The Lead Preschool Teacher develops a cohesive teaching team, coordinates the curriculum, and manages the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom while implementing a curriculum that is appropriate for their 3–4-year-old classroom. The teacher in this role should be high energy and able to work well with staff, students, and parents. You’ll have the opportunity to be a serve as a model and mentor, leader in the classroom, champion a team environment, and provide fun-filled learning opportunities while making a positive impact on the lives of our children.
 
What You’ll Do: 

• Manage adherence to quality standards in accordance with both center’s vision and state and local / state requirements 
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement 
• Work with staff, children, and parents to foster a team environment 
• Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children 
• Encourage children to develop a community-spirited classroom through sharing, caring and self-regulation 
• Develop a well-balanced schedule of activities including learning, playing, eating, and napping 

 
What We Need from You: 

• FL DCF 45 hours or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire 
• Teachstone CLASS Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire 
• CPR and First Aid Certification required 
• Minimum of 2 -3 years of professional early childhood education preferred 
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study preferred 
• Must clear a full level II DCF background check 
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills 
• Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed
