Location:
Madison Early Childhood Center 12 month full time position, $22.97/hr
LEAD CUSTODIAN:
Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program,
safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Lead building custodial staff by example and through written and verbal communication.
Maintain sufficient inventory of necessary supplies.
Generate and complete work orders using Facility Tree.
Minus follow safety procedures
Must use and maintain safety equipment
Setup equipment for day or night activities
Participates in educational programs
Attends meetings as required
Be able to make minor repairs and work with maintenance personnel as required
Be familar with HVAC systems
Perform preventative maintenance as assigned
Be knowledgeable about potential hazzards in the building and inform the appropriate supervisor
Work and communicate with the building princiapal or administrator in order to provide the best possible environment for pupils, staff, and public
Use floor machines, chemicals and floor finishes as directed
Dusts furniture, ledges, woodwork, equipment, shelves, and dust mops floors
Washes windows, walls, and doors
Mops offices, classrooms, hallways, and other areas
Washes trash and recycling receptacles
Cleans restrooms and locker rooms
Maintains restrooms and locker room supplies
Polishes metal items and wood furniture
Collects and properly disposes of trash and recycling material
Operates custodial equipment – buffers, vacuums, automatic floor machines
Cleans and maintains mechanical housekeeping equipment
Strips and refinishes floors
Spot clean and shampoo carpets
Remove snow as assigned
Assist with lawn and grounds care (mow grass, edge and clean sidewalks, pickup trash, etc.)
Set up equipment as needed for day or night building activities (bleachers, chairs, tables, PA system, etc.)
Use floor machines, chemicals and floor finishes as directed
Help with indoor and outdoor work as directed
Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds when necessary
Be able to stand for eight hours, two hours at a time
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
