Job Summary
The Ellison Institute of Technology is seeking a talented and passionate Facilities Maintenance Technician II (FMT) to join its team. As part of EIT, the FMT II is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all facilities, overseeing routine inspections, and promptly addressing any issues to create a safe and optimal working environment for staff and visitors.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing the following job duties:
Job Accountabilities:

• Candidate for this position is expected to work from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts. No remote work available.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions or system failures.
• Maintain and repair building structures, including doors, windows, and floors.
• Ensure the safety and security of facilities through the implementation of preventive measures.
• Collaborate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks.
• Implement and follow preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and systems.
• Participate in the planning and execution of facility improvement projects.
• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.
• Provide support during building renovations or relocations.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas.
• Assist in training new staff on facility procedures and safety protocols.

Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience: 3-5 years
Hourly Rate: $26.89-$32.32, DOE
