***For the start of the work week you will need to commute to Mt. Airy, NC and from there you will ride in a work truck to the job sites.***

***This position 100% "On The Road" which means you will be staying in hotel rooms Sunday-Wednesday night.***

Performs different operations involved in repairing roads, bridges, and culverts. This is a 100% travel job, you would be working on the road. Folks with a CDL can expect an increase in hourly wages. You will not find better benefits, they are best in class and you will be well taken care of.

Duties:
- Assist with utility locating and marking to ensure the safety of underground utilities
- Operate graders, dump trucks, backhoes, front loader trucks, and other heavy equipment as needed
- Assist with building and paving projects
- Perform general construction tasks such as digging trenches, removing debris, and leveling surfaces
- Assist with the installation of pipes, cables, and other construction materials
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:
- Experience operating graders, dump trucks, backhoes, front loader trucks, and other heavy equipment is nice but not necessary
- Knowledge of building and paving processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods

Qualifications (preferred, not required)
- Experience in road construction and paving
- Proficiency in backhoe operation and heavy equipment operation
- Familiarity with power tools and front loader truck operation
- Possession of a CDL
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to perform utility locating
- Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
