SUMMARY: Facilitate the intake process through verification of data captured at investigation. Act as liaison with police departments and insurance companies to obtain and input necessary documentation and information to prepare digital file for assigned legal teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Review all information submitted in the investigation process for accuracy and completeness.
· Obtain police crash reports, incident reports, dog bit reports along with any photos taken and ensure information is transferred from reports to case management system.
· Act as liaison with auto and homeowners' insurance companies including, but not limited to, filing and/or verifying necessary claims information, drafting letters of representation, sending letters via fax, email, or U.S. mail and ensuring acknowledgment.
· Draft any necessary defendant letters of representation when insurance is unknown.
· Perform clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and faxing, when needed.
· Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
· Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Detail oriented and proficient in data entry.
· Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
· Self-reliant and able to manage priorities and workflow.
· Proficient at utilizing new software and platforms.
· High School diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous legal experience a plus.
· Must have basic computer proficiency, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
