ABOUT THE ROLE-Collections Specialist:

The Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing and collecting of all outstanding accounts receivables from clients and customers. This individual will be responsible for monitoring accounts receivables statements to identify debts owed to the company and notifying customers and business partners of overdue debts.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts owed
• Follow up with customers on overdue accounts
• Investigate historical data for debts owed and identify trends
• Apply customer payments timely and accurately
• Oversee daily payments and refunds
• Research and implement effective collection techniques
• Respond to customer account queries in a timely and professional manner
• Handle customer service issues by interacting with customers, third party payment centers and internal departments to expedite customer payments
• Utilize TMS daily to meet collections KPI’s
• Other duties as assigned by Management

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and across all levels.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify trends through data reports and spreadsheets
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 products and proficient computer skills.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to keep accurate records and reporting on collection activity
• Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills
• Ability to meet and exceed expected collection’s KPIs and quotas
• Intermediate math and accounting skills
• 1 or more years of financial experience
• 2-4 years of financial experience preferred
• 2 or 4-year degree from an accredited university
