This internship offers hands-on experience in organizing and leading activities for children while gaining valuable insights into camp management and programming.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing camp activities, including sports, games, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures.
• Supervise and engage with campers to ensure their safety, well-being, and enjoyment throughout the day.
• Collaborate with camp staff to develop and deliver age-appropriate programming that fosters social, emotional, and physical development.
• Assist in managing daily operations of the camp, including check-in/out procedures, snack/lunch breaks, and transitions between activities.
• Provide support to camp counselors and volunteers, offering guidance and assistance as needed.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive camp environment where all campers feel welcome and valued.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably with a focus on recreation, child development, education, psychology, sports management, or related fields.
• Passion for working with children and creating meaningful experiences in a camp setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with campers of all ages.
• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and challenges.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is preferred but not required.
