Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually, based on experience.

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision insurance; 401k; paid vacation and holidays; vehicle allowance.

We are actively seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee a diverse array of construction projects from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will manage construction processes to ensure they are executed efficiently and on schedule. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of all facets of construction practices and be skilled in managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver superior results. Your analytical acumen and exceptional organizational skills will be critical in ensuring all projects meet their specified requirements without surpassing the budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other construction professionals to define project specifications.

Oversee both General Trades and General Contracting projects.

Negotiate contracts with external vendors to secure profitable deals.

Secure necessary permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.

Manage resources throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.

Strategically plan construction operations and establish timelines to meet project deadlines.

Maintain rigorous schedules for project values, requests for changes, and associated documentation and approvals.

Procure materials and equipment, monitoring inventory to address shortages proactively.

Recruit and assign tasks to contractors and staff, providing direction and supervision as needed.

Regularly evaluate project progress and compile comprehensive reports.

Uphold all health and safety standards, addressing any concerns promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven track record of success as a Construction Project Manager.

Deep knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.

Familiarity with quality standards and health and safety regulations.

Proficient in MS Office 365 and Procore; experience with other project management software is advantageous.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Collaborative team player with proven leadership skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, or a related field is preferred.

PMP or similar certification is beneficial.

Experience in retail construction will be considered a plus.
