Position Summary
The Field Supervisor is responsible for the scheduling, reporting, quality inspecting, and reviewing installations of cabinets to conform with prints, specs, and company standards. Exhibit strong leadership and organizational skills; ability to solve problems quickly and complete jobs on time.
Perform duties such as coordinating daily work schedules of subcontractors maintaining accurate and detailed records, and monitoring performance of service techs and installers.
As a leader you will be expected to provide or assist in training for employees in all aspects of their job functions. You will need to be proficient at communicating effectively with customers, subordinates, and management; perform functions in a timely manner consistent with industry standards.
Education and/or Experience
Undergraduate degree in building construction, operations management, business, or related field preferred or 5 years of field experience in the construction industry, experience with cabinet installation, service, order entry and delivery scheduling, and managing subcontractors preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients in an effort to carry out responsibilities or respond to common inquiries from customers/clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community and public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret graphs and diagrams.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Major Responsibilities
The Field Supervisor must be able to complete the following tasks.
· 25 to 30 cabinet sets a month.
· Meet with management, contractors, and supervisors in the field.
· Accept calls from supervisors, service techs, and installers and provide support throughout the day.
· Status houses and update department managers and coordinators
· Walk and re-walk houses 48 hours after installation of products and services.
· Measure houses prior to order for potential problems i.e. electrical, plumbing, openings, etc.
Benefits and Wages
Salary starts at $52,000/year and is based upon experience, 401(k), 401(k) Match, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and additional insurance plans, generous PTO policy, paid holidays, and bonus opportunities.
