This is Butler’s Pantry.

And we are looking for someone who lives to serve and knows that

teamwork is the foundation of success to be our 2nd Shift Kitchen Manager.

As the 2nd Shift Kitchen Manager at Butler’s Pantry, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our kitchen during evening hours. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee 2nd shift production, including supervising kitchen staff, managing order fulfillment, and maintaining quality standards. Flexibility and a willingness to assist in various areas of kitchen operations are essential qualities for success in this role.

Your COMMITMENT to us:

GET THE JOB DONE (The necessary stuff)

  • Coordinate with manager to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders
  • Oversee the preparation, assembly, and packaging of food items according to order specifications
  • Ensure that all orders are completed correctly and on schedule to meet delivery or pickup times
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation throughout the production process
    • Conduct regular inspections of food items to ensure they meet company standards and customer expectations
    • Address any issues or discrepancies in food quality or preparation promptly and effectively
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies during 2nd shift and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to kitchen management
  • Assist in placing orders for ingredients and supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Assist kitchen staff in various food preparation tasks as needed, including cooking, prepping, and plating
    • Support sous chefs in coordinating overall kitchen operations during busy periods
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment through effective communication and teamwork
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage, handling, and temperature control of food items
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of perishable and non-perishable items to minimize waste
    • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and production areas, following sanitation protocols and procedures
    • Conduct regular safety checks and address any hazards or concerns promptly

LEAD BY ACTION & BY EXAMPLE (The stuff that makes an impact)

  • Supervise kitchen staff during 2nd shift, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a productive and cohesive team environment
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance to meet production goals and deadlines

Additional Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience in kitchen management or a supervisory role in a high-volume kitchen environment, preferably in catering or food service
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving production goals
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred but not required
