In this full-time role, you'll collaborate with the Director to align with our school's vision, oversee daily operations, manage schedules and logistics, lead our engaging summer camp, and foster a positive environment for our families, children, and staff. Key Responsibilities
In partnership with the Director, set goals for, supervise, and evaluate teachers
Serves as a support to teachers in the development of dynamic, emergent curriculum grounded in Jewish values
In collaboration with Director, engages in ongoing reflection, assessment and fine-tuning of the preschool program
Directs Summer Camp program
Supports parents with issues regarding program management, student and teacher concerns
In collaboration with Director plans and implements, teacher orientation week, staff meetings and in-service days, Back to School Night and Prospective Parent Night
Shares with the Preschool Director coordination of daily schedules of preschool staff and substitute teachers
Plans preschool enrichment program, utilizing preschool staff and special guests (i.e. music, bubble lady, shadow puppets)
In charge of bringing in candidates for interviews when needed
Substitute in classroom and relieves teachers as needed
Process preschool payroll
Order supplies as needed
Maintain staff and student/family records and rosters
In collaboration with director make sure that school is in line with state licensing regulations
Assume responsibilities of school in the absence of director
Qualifications
BA degree in Child Development or related field (MA preferred)
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
Ability to work collaboratively
Flexible, supportive, and participatory member of the community
Additional Requirements
Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
Current health screening, TB clearance, up to date immunizations required by law
Mandated Reporter training
DOJ fingerprint clearance
Position will remain open until qualified candidate is identified
