Field Technician

Elevated Technologies is looking for multiple Field Technicians to work at the Yuma, AZ Proving Grounds. This position will diagnose, repair or overhaul, and maintain heavy construction equipment in the field. 

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aerostat flight operations to include launch, recovery as well as on station and moored operations.
• Provide subject matter expertise in aerostat systems for 74K, 34M and 22M systems.
• Performs troubleshooting of systems, sensors and other equipment and subsystems to ensure maximum system availability.
• Performs preventative maintenance inspections, in coordination with government test schedule.

• Performs corrective actions to ensure full system availability for flight and test
• Assists in the installation and removal of all sensors and equipment to and from the aerostat and related equipment.
• Operates and maintains all unique support equipment to include but not limited to:

• Manlift Forklift, Generators and Power distribution

• Helium trailers and support equipment

• Qualified to operate 74K, 34M and 22M aerostat systems.
• Cross trained in information technology basics to better support test activities. 

• Support monitoring the aerostat 24/7
• Ensure Personnel Safety (take CPR, first aid etc.)
• Ensure site is compliant with frequency management, as per site SOP.
• Coordinate flight clearance with TRAX Range Safety Officers
• Coordinates escort activities to and from YPG test site including performing actual escort duties as required.

• Ensure compliance with Site SOP, YPG regulations and Range policies, etc.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Three years of relevant aerostat equipment repair. 
• Excellent trouble-shooting ability with equipment.

• Excellent mechanical, electrical, or IT skills.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures, Proven reasoning abilities and sound judgment
• Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to represent the company with professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
• Familiar with Microsoft Operating Systems.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in fast paced, high stress environment.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• U.S. Government background investigation is required

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• All personnel will be certified in Comp TIA A and Security to comply with government regulations for computer systems access and maintenance.
• All personnel will be certified as aerostat operators (trained/verified by Elevated corporate personnel at contract award)

On the Job Training and certifications

Due to the unique and dynamic nature of this position, employees will be provided with paid training for industry certifications in Information Technology.  Those certifications include Comp TIA A and Security . In addition, employees will be trained and certified in the operations of aerostats. Certifications will be required to pass within 6 months of employment and must be maintained for continued employment. A cash bonus will be paid after 6 months of employment for any personnel hired with current certifications for any of the above skills and provide copies of the certifications.
