Elevate Tampa Bay Inc. is Hiring a Director of Advancement Near Tampa, FL

Job Summary:
The responsibility of the Director of Advancement is to lead the organization’s advancement efforts in fund development and strategic partnerships. These activities will be implemented in coordination with the Executive Director and Fundraising Committee of the Board of Directors. The Director of Advancement will oversee a portfolio of donors and other partners who support ELEVATE Tampa Bay's financial growth needs and develop strategic partnerships with corporations, post-secondary programs, and community organizations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversee Fund Development planning, activities, and related events.

Responsibilities:

● Fund Development -develop and implement a fund development plan to diversify funds and cultivate major donors, grants, and related events.

○ Fundraising Activities: Generate contributions in alignment with the goals set by the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

○ Giving Strategies Implementation: Develop and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies that create a clear donor journey from awareness to advocacy and manage annual and multi-year giving fund programs.

○ Major Gift Cultivation: Identify and cultivate donors with major gift potential and work with the Executive Director to develop solicitation strategies for major gift donor prospects.

○ Event Management: Work closely with the Executive Director to develop and execute fundraising events as required within the strategies created for fund development.

○ Grants Administration: Lead development of all grant proposals and submission of grant funding requests and research, manage and coordinate follow-up reports or other stipulations required as part of grant award contracts. Research and apply for new grant opportunities.

○ Corporate Donor Acquisition: Research, contact, and develop corporate sponsorships.

○ Donor Relations Organization: Develop and administer a donor relations program that properly recognizes and provides stewardship for donor constituents, including managing the CRM system and pledge payments.

● Develop Strategic Partnerships

○ Networking: Network and maintain relationships with colleges, tech schools, military branches, and corporate partners that will lift fundraising and post-secondary programming.

○ Connect Corporation Services: In collaboration with Teacher-Mentors, oversee career-focused activities such as career/post-secondary exposure (job-shadowing, internships).

○ Connect Corporate Individual Partnerships: Connect the programming staff to potential guest speakers in classes and career exposure via off-site visits, events, and small groups.

Flexibility Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned. Professionally represent Elevate Tampa Bay in site visits and community functions.

Essential Job Requirements

○ Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Certifications in Fundraising preferred; experience may be considered in place of education.

○ Experience: Minimum three to five years of experience in fund development and partnership development.

○ Attendance. Present, attentive, and participates in meetings, classes, and other activities.

○ Flexibility. Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned. Professionally represent ELEVATE Tampa Bay in site visits and community functions.

Required Competencies, Abilities, and Skills:

○ Mastery of communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.

○ Coachability and eagerness to learn new information.

○ Personal relationship management skills that indicate a strong ability to manage and work with a wide variety of people, professionals, and students.

○ Ability to work and contribute to a team environment.

○ Ability to manage a variety of projects and goals along with team responsibilities.

○ Software skills: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and other software as needed.

○ Valid Florida Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance.
