Are you a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with robust medical device experience looking to be the Lead and only Mechanical Engineer on a team working to develop a cutting edge wearable sensing product?

Elevate Search is partnering with an exciting Medical Technology company to find a Principal Mechanical Engineer for it's development team. You will lead the mechanical design of the device and the fixtures necessary to test it. You will be responsible for transitioning designs from prototype to low volume manufacturing. You will also be supporting the verification testing.

Desired Experience:

• Deep medical device product development experience (taken at least one medical device product from concept to launch)
• Experience developing a wearable device
• Strong design and analysis skills with Solidworks
• Ability to work in a small, fast-paced, startup environment where you are the sole Mechanical Engineer on the team
• Ability to work with outside consultants and contract manufacturers
• BSME and 8 years relevant experience

The Ideal Candidate will have: 1. Startup experience, 2. Strong requirements definition experience, 3. Vendor management experience and ideally some experience with the Joint-Development Model (JDM) form of product development.
