Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for reviewing the contract and signed agreement from the client. Aligning the project details to determine what is needed for the successful completion of the project for the production team. This individual will be responsible for going to client’s homes or buildings to verify the scope of work to be completed and measure items as needed. The focus of this individual will be to work with residential and commercial roofing projects.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

• Responsible for going out to job sites, supporting the production team

• Engaging with customers and answering questions for subcontractors while out on job sites

• Provide final inspection of projects to complete and ‘close out’; taking pictures and verifying accurate completion

• Engage and verify subcontractors work is accurate, providing direction as needed with internal team

• Work alongside the Project Coordinator to verify jobs, close out is completed and documentation is provided

• Responsible for documenting change orders with customers, getting sign off and communicating with internal team members for execution of change

• Review and verify accurate material is in stock and/or order

• Provide delivery of materials, as needed for project completion

• Manage and complete all final punch list items on job sites for customers

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience in a roofing specific role

• 2 years’ with construction experience

• Bilingual experience preferred (Spanish)

• Experience and understanding of multiple roofing systems in both materials and products

• Ability to be hands on and engage with customers on their projects

• Strong communication skills with internal and external resources

• Understanding of time-management and having a high attention to detail

• Confidentiality is of upmost importance in this role

• Use and experience with computers and Microsoft Office products

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical & Working Conditions

• Ability to stand and walk across/around job sites (customer homes)

• Ability to climb on roofs as needed for completing customer service projects

• Working outside in all types of weather conditions (wind, heat, cold)

• Kneel and crawling in small spaces or on high peaks of a roof

• Manages and abides by all safety requirements

• Using hand tools, as well as exposure to loud equipment on job sites

• Lift up to 50 lbs.; could be required to work with others to lift up to 100 lbs.

• Drive to job sites throughout the day/evening as needed with clean driving record

• Willingness to work in an on-call capacity (nights, weekends, holiday responses for service issues)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
