Project Manager, Contractor Development

The Project Manager, Contractor Development creates a meaningful impact by leading individual projects to support business trainees to facilitate their participation in the clean energy economy. The position plays a pivotal role in the implementation of Contractor Accelerators. The Project Manager works with team leadership and Coordinators to implement Contractor Accelerator projects to directly support the advancement of people and organizations who have been historically and currently marginalized in the energy sector and building trades.

The Project Manager reports directly to Sr. Program Manager, Contractor Development and is part of the Workforce and Contractor Development Team. This position is located in Illinois and is currently hybrid.

Responsibilities
  • Create a unique and detailed scope of work for each project in partnership with team leadership.
  • Implement strong boundaries to keep on track with scope of work.
  • Manage all aspects of project: design, schedule, partners, participants, etc. to ensure projects are completed within timelines, stay on track, meet objectives, and stay under budget.
  • Oversee project budget including managing labor resources.
  • Facilitate meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Communicate Elevate and our team’s Vision, Mission, and Values to stakeholders during informal and formal gatherings.
  • Manage follow ups with participants for ongoing support and continuous engagement.
  • Manage collaboration with partners, including participants, community partners, employers, and other key contacts.
  • Implement assigned project activities on-site with participants including coordinating training space, confirming speakers, coordinating participant stipends and supports, etc.
  • Implement case management and other direct in-person services to participants.
  • Maintain and report on organized data and records.
  • Co-author reports with project data and outcomes.
  • Provide program data and information to leadership for reports and other documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of three (3 ) years of project management experience OR if a candidate does not have three (3 ) years of experience, completion of related certificate, associate, or bachelor’s program will be considered
  • Demonstrated commitment to the advancement of communities who have been historically and currently marginalized
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated skills to stay organized
  • Prioritize and complete multiple tasks at a rapid pace
  • Provide clear written and verbal instructions
  • Use standard tools and technologies to track participant and program data
  • Knowledge of clean energy technologies or building science a plus, but not required
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to attend in-person meetings
  • Ability to travel locally up to 20% of the time

CompensationThe total compensation for this position includes health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.), defined contribution benefit (401k with contribution), professional development, generous paid time off policies, and a flexible schedule.
