Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Gathers, writes, validates and update training material, end user documentation, operations manuals and technical user guides.
  • Conducts interviews to gather information to be documented.
  • Collaborates with the development team in evaluation of documentation needs.
  • Possesses a minimal understanding of the technical aspects of products and systems for which documentation is prepared.
  • Organizes, develops, and documents business technical information, processes and procedures.


Requirements
:

  • Requires BA/BS in Computer Science/Information Systems; 1 or more years of technical writing experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Presents information in a clear and objective manner so as to be understood by the targeted audience.
  • Uses industry and Company established technical writing standards and tools.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing skills, interviewing techniques, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment, attention to detail, and strong organizational and teamwork skills and aptitude required.
  • Technical writing.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational, project management skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Additional Details:

  • 40 hours per week, M-F, standard working hours - there is flexibility with schedule but during onboarding, we ask for 8-5pm PT so we can ensure all trainers and trainees are together during the core working hours.
  • After training, we allow contractors to start between 7am and 9am their local time.
  • MUST be local (50 miles or less) and be williing to come into the office 2-3 days per week to either the Norfolk, VA or Woodland Hills, CA locations. .
  • During training the hours may be more dependent on trainers schedule; after initial training the designated day will be Tuesdays and possibly one other day TBD with manager
