Description

The Assistant Taproom Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day operations in the taproom which includes motivating and supporting front-of-house team members, and ensuring guests have meaningful moments.

Performance Expectations- Essential functions:

• Engages guests to promote products, answer questions, and provide service recovery appropriately
• Coordinates the training of front-of-house staff
• Leads front-of-house team members throughout the shift, and redirects as needed 
• Takes ownership of all guest-facing spaces including maintaining a clean and inviting patio and taproom
• Provides feedback to team members, and fosters a positive environment of teamwork
• Ensures café and taproom are set up timely in AM shift, and closing duties are completed at the appropriate times
• Assists Taproom Manager in operational tasks such as cash management, inventory, and adhering to standard operating procedures
• Understands and complies with all health, safety, and alcohol handling standards
• Maintains timely communication utilizing email, text, and company group communication
• This position does not have direct managerial responsibilities

Required skills/physical abilities:

• Open availability, weekday closing shifts, weekend flexibility for morning or closing shift
• Exceptional analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
• Ability to utilize resources and make appropriate decisions during shift
• Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and reach
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds without assistance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
