Eleos Family Services is Hiring a Behavior Assistant for Hudson County Near Bayonne, NJ

$35-40/Hour

***This is a Per Diem Position***

Job Description:

Eleos Family Services is actively seeking professionals in the behavioral and mental health field to provide Behavioral Assistance services on a per diem basis to youth ages 5-21, and families, in diverse communities. The primary function of the Behavioral Assistant is to implement behavioral intervention strategies as prescribed in the individualized service plan by a licensed clinician. The role requires prior experience in providing Behavioral Assistance to children and adolescents who exhibit severe emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.

As a potential candidate, you will be expected to deliver customized behavioral assistance to youth/adolescents, ensuring that they receive the necessary care and attention to overcome their challenges. With your background in the behavioral and mental health field, you will successfully execute the prescribed intervention strategies and document outcomes to facilitate the continuous improvement of services offered.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve high-risk children and families involved in the Children System of Care (CSOC), Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP), Care Management Organizations and/or Mobile Response to provide clinical services.
  • Stabilize the child's behavior that led to the crisis referral.
  • Build rapport with youth and family members.
  • Comply with Treatment Plans developed by IIC and support the implementation of individualized treatment plans for each youth.
  • Adhere to paperwork submission timeframes and deadlines.
  • Participate in required administrative supervision.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience working with DD population / Substance Abuse a plus but not required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Certification a Plus: BA Training Certificate through the Children's System of Care. Enrollment in the BA Training Certification.
  • Skills: the ability to create a warm, non-threatening therapeutic process, provide non-judgmental responses, counsel adolescents/children and families, and work with youth/families from diverse backgrounds. These candidates must possess empathy, attentiveness, ethical conduct, creativity, organizational skills, flexibility, independence, self-motivation, dedication, and enthusiasm.
