Element Science, Inc. is a medical device and digital health company focused on developing solutions at the intersection of clinical-grade wearables, machine learning algorithms, and lifesaving therapies in order to address leading causes of death and hospitalization in patients with heart disease, primarily as they transition from the hospital-to-home. By putting the needs of patients and physicians first, our personalized digital devices, which are designed for function, comfort, and ease-of-use, aim to redefine the paradigm of care for these patients. Our first product, a wearable patch defibrillator, is initially targeted at treating the more than 500,000 patients in the US with an elevated temporary risk of potentially experiencing a lethal heart rhythm. SUMMARY OF ROLE:

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for making sure that products meet a set of standards. Their duties include examining shipments of inventory and raw goods, measuring the specifications of random items in each production run and training team members to refine production quality.

The Quality Control Inspector will perform assessment, documentation, and organization tasks to support the efficiency and effectiveness of their organization's supply chain.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform inspections according to well defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/ or electrical measurements.
• Perform visual inspections of PCB, PCBA, & SMT per IPC-610 F standards.
• Accurately document the results of inspections and testing.
• Identify and report all non-conforming materials per all applicable procedures.
• Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 years Quality Control experience in Receiving Inspection is preferred.
• Prefer IPC-610 Standard certification is a plus.
• Experience of working with FDA regulated products (Medical Device).
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 / FDA QSR 21 CFR Part 820 / 803 requirements.
• Must be able to interpret drawings and specifications and use standard measuring gages and test equipment.
• Must have strong communication and be proficient in the English language both written and verbal skills.
• Mechanical aptitude desired.
• Good arithmetic skills are required.
• General proficiency of Microsoft Excel, Access Database and Microsoft Word.
• Excellent computer skills, particularly spreadsheets/graphical software tools (e.g., Excel).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, dependable and trustworthy to maintain confidentiality with complex and sensitive documents.
• Must be able to multi-task at various times of the day.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

The salary for this exempt-level position will be based on experience and qualifications within an established pay range.
