Job Summary

The Solution Architect conceptualizes, designs, develops and implements Roadside enterprise systems. This role is responsible for ensuring that the solution is well engineered, can be operated and maintained profitably, delivered on time and on schedule, aligns to the technology roadmap and delivers on anticipated value to the company. The successful candidate must be able to manage the overall project lifecycle process, with the ability to plan and direct the work of matrix teams throughout the organization.

Essential Functions

• Conduct industry research, trend analysis and relevant technology developments; recommend new products and services to the company to meet growing and changing requirements
• Innovate and engineer emerging technology; contribute to development of new standards, design guides, processes and other reference guides
• Develop and deliver complex and scalable enterprise architecture, clearly communicating vision and strategy; drive change/process improvement throughout the organization
• Evaluate and analyze new business opportunities for the company; participate in requirements gathering activities with future customers; provide technological leadership representation at industry events
• Provide subject matter guidance on architectural direction, vendor evaluations, and resource evaluations for RFP, bids or R&D efforts; participates in customer and third-party meetings as technical resource; trains and mentors development, operations and program staff on architectural matters
• Accountable for effective system design documentation, including the creation of enterprise architecture, feature designs and interface specs; oversees detailed technical designs created by development teams
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance for assigned work hours
