Job Description:

Join ETC as a Payroll & Benefits Analyst to help us deliver technical excellence and outstanding customer service in a team environment, where each member radiates our core values of integrity, excellence, collaboration, innovation, and passion. Our corporate office is located in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and Richardson, TX specifically. This opportunity is for someone to work at the corporate office in the DFW area as a hybrid schedule coming into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays to work, attend meetings and events.

As a Payroll & Benefits Analyst you will be responsible for planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs; medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, flexible spending, and retirement plans. This position provides excellent customer service to staff members at all levels and participates in the design of quality benefits plans. The analyst will continually seek new benefit programs and assist with improving existing programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary contact for vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Gathers employee data & process monthly invoices in preparation for payment for all group plans.
  • Monitor the status of automated files exchanged between the payroll system and benefit providers.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records.
  • Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for benefits processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
  • Coordinate daily benefits processing including new hire enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident, death claims, FMLA, rollovers, hardships, and compliance testing and filings such as ACA, etc.
  • Monitor administrative costs of benefits programs and recommend cost containment strategies, including alternative methods for administration and funding.
  • Assist with Open Enrollment activities.
  • Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package and respond to general inquiries from employees and candidates.
  • Generate ad hoc reports for audits for both internal and external use using Microsoft Excel and proprietary systems.


Required Experience:


Required Experience/Education:

  • Current experience administering payroll, HRIS and benefits processes and work experience should include knowledge of basic HR, payroll practices, benefits administration, and compliance.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well as aptitude for quickly learning and assimilating new software programs.
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to remain flexible and on task with frequent interruptions with a high degree of detail-orientation.

Preferred requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • ADP Workforce Now, SAP Concur, NOVAtime

CPP, PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus
