THIS IS FOR A RECEIVING POSITION - 9:00AM - 6:00PM MON - FRI

SUMMARY:

Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

§ Interprets customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

§ Conveys materials and items from receiving area to storage or to other designated areas.

§ Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

§ Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.

§ Operates various models of forklifts as required including standard LPG sit down lifts, reach truck, manual and electric pallet jacks, piggy back forklifts, and scissor lifts.

§ Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed and processes appropriate paperwork to support the above functions as required.

§ Utilizes RF technology to complete the following assignments:

o Accurately pull and stage the desired material.

o Receive new stock or special order items intended for placement in our storage locations.

o Move or restock items from overstock locations to primary locations.

o Audit outgoing shipments.

§ Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat. A large part of the warehouse team member’s function is keeping the facility cleaned and organized.

§ Comply with company and OSHA safety procedures, rules, and regulations.

§ Safely operate all the necessary equipment.

§ All other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Must have the ability to write simple correspondence in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.

TRAINING: Expected to complete fork lift certification within 30 days of employment and complete EDGE training within 1 year of employment.
