Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Food Service Director. The Food Service Director is responsible for the preparation and serving of all meals. Will manage the food service production and delivery system, including purchase and inventory of food and supplies. The Food Service Director will ensure conformance with food quality, nutrition, and productivity standards. The Food Service Director will train, manage, and supervise food service staff, practice time management techniques, and ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction.
Duties:
- Plan and direct food service activities in accordance with company standards
- Oversee menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Manage catering and banquet services for special events
- Follows proper receiving, storage, and preparation techniques to ensure all food items are maintained at a high quality until consumed.
- Ensure compliance with federal health and safety regulations
- Supervise food handling and storage procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise staff to deliver exceptional customer service
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and minimize expenses
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in food service management, hospital setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of food industry trends and best practices
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management
- Certification in food handling and sanitation is preferred
