Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and creative Gallery Assistant to join our team. As a Gallery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our art gallery. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about art and interested in gaining experience in the art industry.

Duties:

- Assist with membership database entry and invoicing

- Proficient in Excel and Word

- Stock rack cards and exhibit flyers at area locations
- Assist with exhibit preparation
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the gallery space
- Greet and engage with visitors, providing information about the artwork and artists
- Assist with the coordination of gallery events, including openings and artist talks
- Manage inventory and sales of artwork
- Assist with marketing efforts, including social media and content creation
- Provide administrative support, such as answering phone calls and responding to emails

- Community outreach to promote the organization

Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Knowledge of art market trends and contemporary artists

This is a paid position. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
