Position Summary

• Works with Department Manager and Director to ensure the planning, coordination, and provision of nursing care to patients on specified units and shifts.
• Supervises and delegates care responsibilities to nursing and ancillary personnel, commensurate with their scope of practice.
• Promotes the use of best practices in the delivery of patient care.
• Facilitates Lean Daily Management activities.
• Works collaboratively with leadership to promote professional nursing practice and behavior.

Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification:

• Minimum two year's previous NICU experience.

Desired Training/Education/Experience/Certification:

• BSN
• RNC
• Previous charge nurse experience acute care setting
• Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
• Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
